This is too funny! Charlie Rangel stated that he didn't think Sarah Palin had enough foreign policy experience because she stated that she could see Russia from her house. Problem is Sarah never said that. That line was from a Saturday Night Live skit with Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin. So good ole' Charlie has gotten Tina Fey mixed up with Sarah Palin OR maybe he just heard the sound bite and was told that it was Sarah. Either way NOBODY has corrected him on it.

From the Telegraph
More, as promised, on Senator Joe Biden (why should Sarah Palin get all the coverage?). Remember, you read it here first: on September 11 this blog reported a mounting backlash from Catholic bishops against Biden, Barack Obama's "Catholic" pro-abortion running mate. At that time I estimated eight bishops had come out to denounce Biden; the total is now 55. Beyond that, Biden is being trashed across every state of the Union by Catholic newspapers, TV and radio stations, and blogs. It is a tsunami of rejection.
The story has now hit the secular media. Last Saturday Time magazine asked: "Does Biden Have a Catholic Problem?" By Wednesday the issue had moved onto the front page of the New York Times. Joe the Jinx has blown it, big time. Biden has only himself to blame: he started this war, with his notoriously undisciplined mouth. He knew the dangers. Last August, Archbishop Raymond Burke, former Archbishop of St Louis and now Prefect of the Apostolic Segnatura in Rome, said communion should be denied to pro-abortion politicians "until they have reformed their lives".

From The Tennessean:
The son of state Rep. Mike Kernell has been contacted by authorities in connection with a probe into the hacking of the personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Kernell confirmed on Thursday. Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, said his 20-year-old son David had been contacted by authorities investigating the hacking of Palin’s personal email account. Advertisement The FBI and the Secret Service started a formal investigation on Wednesday into the hacking. David Kernell is a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Mike Kernell said he spoke to his son on Thursday, as he does on a regular basis. Kernell otherwise declined to comment, or discuss his son’s whereabouts and whether he was in custody.

I thought this was interesting from Democrat Lanny Davis from The Politico
Lanny Davis, Attorney and Democratic strategist:
Maybe the reason as to why in the midst of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression the Democrats have yet to stand for anything Big. The Democrats control a congress with no significant legislative record--not on Iraq, not on energy, not on health care, not on much of anything.
The Democratic National Committee leadership, when it speaks at all, speaks speaks with hyper-partisan rhetoric that turns off normal people and conveys no new important ideas. Democrats held a national convention and adopted a platform that virtually no one debated and virtually no one read, that checked virtually every box of special interests but offered no unifying vision of the Democratic Party, no Great Idea, no New Deal, Fair Deal, or New Frontier -- nothing, really, but party machinery, fund-raising capability, and the near absolute veto power of the special, narrow, ideological purity of the netroots left, reminiscent of the worst days of the McGovernistas of 1972. When the Democrats have no grand vision, the Republicans by default by comparison inevitably will look better, even though, absurdly, their only grand vision remains a now-thoroughly repudiated Herbert Hoover laissez fair economics.

What idiot hacks into the email of the next Vice President of the United States? What rock did this person crawl out from under? All to find that one little incriminating email that maybe she used her personal email account for business. Like nobody’s ever done that before. This person is looking at some serious jail time for what, nothing. Let me repeat that “NOTHING” (his own words).
>> rubico 09/17/08(Wed)12:58:04 No.85782727
I read though the emails… ALL OF THEM… before I posted, and what I concluded was anticlimactic, there was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped, all I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor…. And pictures of her family
Earlier it was just some prank to me, I really wanted to get something incriminating which I was sure there would be, just like all of you anon out there that you think there was some missed opportunity of glory, well there WAS NOTHING, I read everything, every little blackberry confirmation… all the pictures, and there was nothing, and it finally set in, THIS internet was serious business, yes I was behind a proxy, only one, if this sh-- ever got to the FBI I was f-----, I panicked, i still wanted the stuff out there but I didn’t know how to…
All I have to say is this person is TOAST when the FBI comes knocking on the door. Their best course of action is to turn himself/herself in as fast as possible.

Although I'm not a fan of the comb-over, we'll take the endorsement. Thanks Donald!

Barack Obama cashes in big at glitzy fundraiser while hard working Americans struggle to make ends meet. "Let them eat cake!"
The Associated Press reported today that Senator Barack Obama raked in $9 million dollars at a celebrity engorged shindig last night spearheaded by none other than her majesty, Queen Streisand, or Babs as she's known to her faithful subjects.
Among the many inspirational nuggets the Senator was tossing out to his adoring aficianados while standing in the majestic courtyard of the Greystone Mansion was this elitist statement: "My campaign is dedicated to people who need jobs and health care and worry about their pensions and sending children to college. “It’s about those who will never see the inside of a building like this,” Gee, thanks for reminding us of just how privileged you are, Senator (and I use the term loosely!).

I think the entire country knows how much the main stream media is in the tank for Obama. Now let's talk about the things that arn't getting reported, for instance, the war on Terrorism. Pakistan has insructed their military to shoot U.S. soldiers who cross into Pakistan to hunt down Islamic Terrorist. I saw one little blub on this yesterday. Since this is something that would favor a McCain Presidency the MSM has elected to not tell Americans. Let's see how long the MSM talks about the Attack on the U.S. Embassy in Yemen.

Who's fault is it? According to The Hill when asked whether the Democratic led congrass bares any responsibility for the current crisis on Wall Street Nancy Pelosi answered "NO."
"John McCain said that this is a result of overregulation byt the Democrats in Congress." she added. Either he doesn't know what he's talking about or he's misrepresenting the facts as he knows them. But' it's simply not true.
RNC spokesman Alex Conant stated "The Pelosi-Obama Congress has faild to pass an all-of-the-above energy plan, failed to stop earmarks, and failed to break the partisan gridlock that plagues Washington. If Pelosi thinks the Democratic Congress is doing a good job handling the economy now, then just imagine how bad our economy would be if Democrats controlled the White House too."
I'm not real sure who should get the blame on this one and frankly who is to blame doesn't matter much to me. What matters is, "who is going to fix it?"
