What is BHO doing about the Taliban and Islamic Extremists getting close to Islamabad and the Pakistani Nuikes?  This is something that can’t happen.  They hate us.   Do you think they will not use them against the U.S.?   What about India, maybe they should be the ones moving into Pakistan.  Sometime last week they were 60 miles away from Islamabad.  Of course the news isn’t reporting where they are now.    Pakistan is asking for help in combating the Taliban http://tinyurl.com/czj5an  Are we going to sit back and do nothing? Look I don’t want the Taliban and Al Qaeda to get Nuclear Weapons.  This needs to be a priority don’t you think President Obama?

Today my wife and I had a discussion about Gitmo and whether or not they are POW’s or not.   The major question is whether or not we should close Gitmo and I think that we both agree that Gitmo should not be closed.  Where we differ is on what we should do with the prisoners and what do we call them.  Her thing was that they are not covered by Geneva Conventions because they are not a uniformed military of some state and therefore they are not war prisoners.  Of course I mentioned that Osama Bin Laden declared war on the United States but then it comes back to the fighters not being part of a country.

So the question here in is how we classify these people.  The Bush administration classified them as Enemy Combatants.  That is fine and dandy but doesn’t address how we should handle them.  Some are saying to move them to a U.S. prison.  I don’t like that idea.   So do we release them?  Not in the United States.  Do we try them?  Again they are not U.S. Citizens and are not entitled to the benefits of our laws and of course our Rights.  And why should we afford them the Rights afforded by the U.S. Constitution when they are fighting against everything we stand for?   Do we execute them?  Some are just low level fighters captured on the battlefield and really should not be executed.   

We all know that when our young men and women are captured they are likely to be beheaded.  They do not follow the Geneva Conventions but does that mean that we should do the same?  So all that being said I believe that there needs to be a commission that comes up with rules for Non-State Affiliated Enemy Combatants.  The word can’t seem to agree on what a Terrorist is, or what a Rebel is or what Guerilla is.  Are they all one in the same or are they different and need to be handled differently?

When we first tackled the War-On-Terrorism we had a country that we could hold responsible called Afghanistan and a group in control of that country called the Taliban.  Now we have a new government in place there and have pushed the Taliban and Al Qaeda out to Pakistan.   The problem is that Pakistan needs to push back and is having a struggle yet they are or were very reluctant to let us help.  I think we need to do a pincer move (if that’s the right terminology) and push from both sides until they are defeated.

But getting back to Gitmo and the prisoners, I think that after a period of time we need to release those low level battlefield combatants to their respective countries on agreement that their respective countries do not let them back on the battlefield.  In order to assure that that happens, we need an agreement between us and their home country.  Of course the problem is when the individual says that they belong to a country that won’t take them?  So the agreement need to be that, if the individual says they are Saudi Arabia for instance then that’s who gets them and they must decide what to do with them from there.   Notice I said the low level combatants.  What about the high level combatants?  We can’t hold them until the end of the war because it appears that this war will not end.   

We cannot let these high level people go, therefore we use the military tribunal determine if they conducted beheadings or murders and if found guilty execute them.  If found not guilty then they go to a prison for life.  Gitmo needs to remain open but maybe only as a staging area until it is decided what course of action to take whether it is years or days.   One thing is for sure, DO NOT BRING THESE PEOPLE TO THE U.S.

You have got to be kidding me.  Obama came out with a budget cut.  Assuming the budget is $10 trillion he asks departments to cut $100 million.  Let me put it into perspective for you.   Let’s say you owe $10,000 on your credit card it would be like telling you to save $1.  Yes just one dollar.  In other words you still have a deficit of $9,999.  That one dollar does nothing for your financial status.  You still owe…a lot.  I expect this is like his tax cuts.  Somehow he thinks that giving Americans a $400 tax cut or credit or whatever it is will make a difference in their finances when for most it doesn’t do much of anything.  Now just who would see that amount of money as a windfall?  Well that would be the very poor.  So for most  it is not really a tax cut especially when you consider that the state taxes, local taxes, vehicle taxes, property taxes and sales taxes are all being raised.   And later this year or next year I’m not sure when, Obama and Congress want to let the Bush Tax Cuts “on the wealthiest” expire. 

WHO ARE THEY KIDDING????  All you have to do is look at who received a tax cut under the Bush Tax Plan and you’ll realize that it wasn’t a tax cut for just the wealthiest Americans.   Yes wealthy Americans received a tax cut.  And they are the ones who spend the most money.  And guess what, they are the ones who create the most jobs.  Go Figure!  But those who received the largest cut were, yeah you guessed it, the middle class.

Back before the election I showed the Bush Tax Cut as opposed to the pre Bush Tax Cut which is labeled Current Code.  It shows that those filing jointly making up to $166,500 went from 31% to 25%.  So by letting the Bush tax cuts expire it will roll back to the pre Bush Tax Plan and thus increase taxes by 6% on those making up to $166,500.  Instead he plans to give you a Tax Credit of $400.

This is precisely what the Tax Day Tea Party was all about.  Not to mention the horrendous spending by the Obama Administration and Congress.   

Oh and by the way, It has been about six weeks now and I have yet to receive my state tax refund.  Do you think I’ll receive Interest and penalties?

If you make these folks buy a car and pay off or purchase a home it will seriously cut into that $1 million.  So I think this could be tweaked a bit.  Maybe add a Money Market account and add to it every year.  That would fix the Stock Market.  Most of the people that have housing issues are not the over 50 crowd but it would help.

A first I was going to write about the vicious remarks made by CNN and MSNBC but I don’t want to give any more promotion to that except to say someone needs to picket those news outlets.  

Instead I want to talk about the effects of the April 15 Tea Parties.  You know they still don’t get it.  Or maybe they don’t want to get it.  How else will they push their far left agenda?  Yesterday Americans spoke out in a big voice yet the Obama administration and Congress are choosing to ignore it.  What are they morons?  Wait I think I know the answer to that question.  Over 300,000 Americans attended a Tea Party. How many Americans were unable to attend because of work or just decided to watch it on television that is if they receive Fox News of course.  If they don’t have Fox News how would they know that this was something BIG?  How will anyone know that hundreds of thousands attended the Tea Parties if the rest of the MSM didn’t report it?  So if people didn’t watch Fox News they may have only seen a small blip or they watched or maybe changed the channel on a diatribe of disgusting commentary about Tea Bagging. .   

So it would appear that the Tea Parties had no effect especially since our illustrious President said he didn’t pay much attention to it.   If our government won’t listen to us we are going to have to take it to the next level.  So what is the next level, some have talked of a March on Washington.  I’ve heard talks of another Tea Party on July 4th.  I believe July 4th is too far away.  There needs to be something each month until they listen.  We need to put our elected officials to task.  Threats of impeachment, threat of voting them out of office in 2010.  This needs to be nonstop until the pinheads in Washington get it.  Barack Obama was put in by the people he can be removed by the people. The same thing goes for each and every Congressman that refuses to take notice and do the public’s will.   “WE’RE MAD AS HELL AND WE’RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT.”   Act Now!

I attended our Tea Party of over 300 Right Wing Radicals the greater majority of which were 60+ years old.  They were so disruptive the police sent all of one police officers. (at least that's what I saw).  This brave sole didn't even have riot gear. He had to get everyone out of the street so he asked and everyone moved without batting an eye.  They didn't even have to send the city workers to clean up. In fact I don't even think there was any trash to pick up. Traffic control was a little rough... oh wait... that wasn't an issue either.  Everyone left in an orderly fashion. Maybe these weren't the Right Wing Radicals they were talking about. 

On the radio I heard of a much larger group of Right Wing Radicals who attended a Kansas Tea Party. I think they mentioned 3000 yet these Radicals left NO mess to clean up.  There was no flag burnings, no overturned vehicles, no violence what so ever.  No guns, knives or even rocks thrown.  Maybe those weren't the Right Wing Radicals either.

So I turned on the TV where they showed even more Right Wing Radicals in Austin TX,  Atlanta, GA, Washington DC, and Sacramento CA.  Still no fire bombs, flag burnings, overturned vehicles and no violence. So if these are the Right Wing Radicals they are talking about then I'm happy to be a part of them.  They are my kind of people.
