Recently I mentioned in a tweet to Gregg Jarrett at Fox News (I don’t know that he read my Tweet) that I think that the Government should not be in the business of bailing out or flat out giving tax dollars to failing businesses. In fact it might be against the Constitution for the Government to do what they did. But it’s going to take someone making a case for the Supreme Court to decide.
This was my exact Tweet (Keep in mind this was a Twitter Tweet which is limited to 140 characters.) “@GreggJarrett My contention all along that the market would have fixed itself. Our markets are self correcting. No need for fed intervention”. And I do believe that statement. Take the case of XM/Sirius Radio. They were on the verge of filing bankruptcy until they were rescued by Will Liberty’s Media. You see it all the time. A business that is on the rocks gets bought up by another business.
Basically capitalism is like a self cleaning oven. There will always be failing businesses and there will be businesses or investors who will pick up the pieces, acquire, merge and try to turn that business around. Or they may acquire that business to remove the competition. It’s not always pretty and some businesses do fail. It’s capitalism baby.

How do we stop this train wreck of the Obama administration destroying our country, our wealth and turning us into a socialist state? It now appears that many including the President had their hand in the cookie jar of the banks. Surely this must be criminal? Shouldn’t there be an investigation? And what the HELL is Barack Obama doing going onto Jay Leno when America is in such dire straits? He seems to be disconnected to the whole situation and the pulse of America. People I have never seen our country in such shambles. Is anyone ready to say the ”I“ word? Impeach! I know, I know everyone says give him a chance. Frankly I don’t know how much more Americans can take. I wonder how many who voted for him still support him. I know his approval ratings are dropping like the stock market. So tell me “How much longer?”

You know I've been thinking about this a lot. It's my opinion that now the Feds are taking away stimulus from the tax payer. Come on we're talking less than $200 million from the $1.7 trillion of bail out money. However think about how that $200 million would help the local economy. Sure some of it is going to end up in someone's bank account or into their stock funds but a lot is going to be spent on new cars or homes or other things. But doesn't that help the economy? DUH! But maybe Congress doesn't really want the economy to get better. Let me get this straight, the Government gives AIG big bucks to help keep their business from failing and to stimulate the economy, AIG uses the money for their contractually obligated executive business "bonuses are incentive for people and companies to do well". Which is exactly what our economy needs and now the Feds want that money back?
Of course I wasn't for this whole bailout thing to begin with. Why? Because I believe that Capitalism is self correcting. When business fails or is about to fail there is someone there to pick up the pieces.
If there is going to be a stimulus of any kind it doesn't need to be given to the top. People who have money don't need to be stimulated; they are still going to spend. It's those in the lower tier or middle that will stop spending money. You see for the rich if they lose 1/2 of their fortune they are still rich. For the middle class and poor, if they lose 1/2 of their savings they are devastated so in order to weather the downturn they will start hording they money, not buy that new car, new home, start brown bagging lunches, not buy a new TV or DVR. They may lose their job and actually cost the government more.
So George W. Bush actually had it right. You stimulate the economy by putting more money in everyone’s pocket with tax rebates and lower taxes. There are over 300 million people in the U.S. Of course not all are tax payers and now all can spend money. But think about giving let's say 200 million people $2,000 to spend and think about how many people would take the extra $300 or $400 per month from a tax cut and buy a new car. That money goes into the economy over 4 to 5 years. $2,000 would make a car down payment.

Today I want to comment on comments by some who think that the government should either give the taxpayer a huge tax holiday, like not having to pay taxes for a year. Or as I heard on Glenn Beck on Friday, give every legal taxpayer $1 million dollars. Now don't get me wrong I would love to not pay taxes for a year or receive $1 million dollars or even better both. However let's just think about what that would do. Let's say you give everyone a one year tax holiday. In other words you would not pay taxes for one year. How many people in that very short year would actually go out an buy a car or home or furniture or other big ticket item basically begin to rely on that extra money. Then after one year the government decides to start taking that money away. I believe you would create an even larger problem because suddenly people would be living above their means. It would only work if people realized that at some point in time they're paycheck would go back to normal. But somehow I think a lot of people would forget that the money would not be there after a year. Hence bills not getting paid.
Now what about giving everyone $1 million dollars. I'm sure many people would go out and blow it. Others would blow some of it. But then the following year many will not be able to pay the taxes on that $1 million dollars. But that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem with giving everyone $1 million dollars is the devaulation of the dollar. If everyone has a million dollars then where do you draw the poverty line. Now all those people that have $1 million are now poverty. Bread would cost $50 a loaf a new card would be $300,000 or half a million dollars or maybe even $1 million dollars. Basically inflation would go through the roof. Again that is not good. But hey yes I would like to have a cool million.
So you tell me, what's the answer?

I don't know how many of you watch Glenn Beck. I have watched him on Fox News since day one and frankly found a new idol. If you have never seen him just watch one episode and I believe you will also be hooked. Glenn started a movement called "We Surround Them" of people who believe in 9 Principles and 12 Values.

The Nine Principles
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
12 Values
Honesty
Reverence
Hope
Thrift
Humility
Charity
Sincerity
Moderation
Hard Work
Courage
Personal Responsibility
Gratitude
Kind of sounds like the Boy Scouts doesn't it. Well the Boy Scouts are very successful and build strong young men.

Tax Day Tea Parties will be going on thoroughout the country on April 15 as well as other days. Take a look at http://www.taxdayteaparty.com/ to find a party in your state. Also Pajamas TV has a listing of Tea Parties.
Michelle Malkin has this little snippet on her site.
Barack Obama’s tax proposal which promises to increase taxes for those families with incomes of $250,000 or more — has some Americans brainstorming ways to decrease their pay, even if it’s just by a dollar.
A 63-year-old attorney based in Lafayette, La., who asked not to be named, told ABCNews.com that she plans to cut back on her business to get her annual income under the quarter million mark should the Obama tax plan be passed by Congress and become law.
So far, Obama’s tax plan is being looked at skeptically by both Democrats and Republicans and therefore may not pass at all.
“We are going to try to figure out how to make our income $249,999.00,” she said.
“We have to find a way out where we can make just what we need to just under the line so we can benefit from Obama’s tax plan,” she added. “Why kill yourself working if you’re going to give it all away to people who aren’t working as hard?”

Well it's been about 40 days since our new President has taken office. Wow, what a mess!. The economy is in the tank, stocks are dropping like a brick in water, Congress passed the largest spending bill in WORLD history, violence on the Mexican border, terrorist who hate us being released, closing of Gitmo without a plan, jobless number skyrocketing, the dollar going down, prices going up, taxes going up including hidden gas taxes and socialism. I have a idea for a bumper sticker. "Don't blame me, I voted for McCain" or how about this one "See, I told you so". O' Biden said that Obama would be tested within the first six months of his Presidency, however it looks like he is being test within the fist 50 days and he is failing big time. What will be the next shoe to drop?
I haven't had a chance to watch Rush Limbaugh at CPAC, I understand he was a huge hit. I have it download it and will upload the 10 video files to the website. I plan to watch it today. The CPAC Staw Poll results which tells us the most likely nomination for President in the next election indicate Mitt Romney as the most likely candidate at 20% followed by Bobby Jindal at 14% and Sarah Palin and Ron Paul tied at 13%. Personally I like Sarah.
Rather than posting the Rush Speach at CPAC here, why re-invent the wheel. Watch them here http://www.freedomslighthouse.com/. Looks like Michael Steele isn't too happy with Rush's comments.

Here is my solution, it's real easy. Here it goes... "MAKE CHEAPER CARS". Yes I said it, make cheaper cars. I'm not talking about cheaper quality, I'm talking about less expensive. When I see that I need a 10 year loan to buy a car I say "It aint gonna happen." A great many cars are now priced higher than the home I bought in 1990. Thirty, fourty, fifty thousand dollar vehicles, COME ON!
Let's look back at how Toyota, Honda and others became so big in the U.S. Back in 1976 I had two friends who bought brand new cars. One bought a brand new Ford Mustang and the other bought a brand new Toyota Cilica. They paid roughly the same amount of money for both cars. In 1976 it was about $6000.00. However the Mustang came stripped down, no frills but the Cilica came decked out with all the options. That's how they entered the U.S. market and gained many consumers. Those Cilicas were good solid cars. The same was true for Honda. The Honda Civic was a good car and many ran 300,000 miles before giving up.
I have never owned a new car. Why? I don't want my new purchase to de-value by two years the minute I drive it off the lot. So I buy a car that is at least two years old. I drive that car until it won't run anymore or it's too costly to fix. Would I like to drive a brand new car? Sure but things are going to have to change. I am not paying $35,000 to $45,000 with payment over $400 per month. But there are a lot of people who buy those new cars. What do people want? I still don't see that people are looking at fuel economy instead most people want a car that looks good, runs good, has the power to get them out of a jam and is inexpensive. Seems pretty simple doesn't it.

 As
you can see by this map, our country is still primarily Conservative. Which begs
to wonder why some states went blue. Take for instance Ohio or Indiana both of
which ended up blue yet the majority of the state is red. Same goes for
Florida, Pensylvania, Virginia and other states. So even though we see all
this red it ended up that the popular vote went blue. Most of rual America
still remains and will vote Conservative and most metropolitian and innercity
areas vote Liberal. However the amount of blue this election increased
considerably from last election. Why is that? Basically the Liberals
chose an innercity candidate. So they voted for one of their own.
But Barack Obama related to other demographics as well. We know that he
overwhelmingly related to African Americans. We also know that he
overwhelmingly related to young Americans. Then his message of change
related to all who were not big fans of the current administration. Now if he
had picked a young woman as VP. It would have been an even larger move to
the blue. It was definately a brilliant move to put up Obama because he
appealed to so many demographics.
When it comes time to campaign for 2012 we will have some leverage on our side
because we will have the CHANGE montra on our side. We will also have the
third term of Bill Clinton we can campaign against. But we must put up a
candidate who appeals to all of the demographics.
So some of our current up-and-coming candidates are of course Sarah_Palin, Bobby_Jindal,
Michael_Steeele, and Tim_Pawlenty to name a few.
Who would you like to see run for President in 2012.

What has changed with the GOP? Is our party broken? As far as I can tell Conservative principles haven’t changed all that much. So what has caused many to leave our party or to vote for a Democrat? Yes everyone is told to vote your conscious or vote the policies or vote the issues but I don’t think that’s what many people voted this election.
What was the primary focus of this election? It was the same for both sides, one word, CHANGE! Sure it meant different things to each side. But why did both sides boast change? This goes back to my point about the PR of the President and our Party. Again we let the Liberals dictate how not just the country but how the world viewed our President. I’ve already talked about that but it is the primary problem with our party. George W. Bush became a dirty word across the globe. I often asked, why is George letting the Liberals and the Media get away with that. Things like Bush lied! Why was there no counter to that statement?
Do this, type into Google “Bush Lied.” On the first page every site except one says that President Bush lied. The only page which countered it is of all people, the LA Times which says that he just got bad intelligence which is my belief. President Bush acted on the intelligence that was presented to him at the time. And one has to ask why was the intelligence so bad that the entire world thought Saddam had WMD? There is some thinking that even Saddam thought he had WMD. To me it was the GREAT DECEPTION!
I may address that in the future.
But here in a simple Google search we see why we lost the election. In fact There are entire websites dedicated to Bush lies. How many sites counter that?
I’m sure you can take any statement and find a way to show it as a lie. If anyone has ever changed their mind then it could be said that they lied either with their first view or their second view. A President has to be fluid in a changing world. A President can’t be so rigid in their policies that when things change they then end up having to do the wrong thing. In fact I’m sure that we could already make a case that Obama has lied and it’s only been days since he won the election. Will the MSM hammer home the point? Yeah Right! That’ll be the day. We’re already seeing him put into his administration some of the most Liberal people in their party. I’m sure this is not the change that those Republicans who voted for him wanted. But again what change are those Republicans who voted for him looking for?
The GOP still has sound principles.
- National Security - Defending Our Nation, Supporting Our Heroes, Securing the Peace
- Government Reform - Reforming Government to Serve the People
- Economy - Expanding Opportunity to Promote Prosperity
- Energy - Energy Independence and Security
- Environment - Addressing Climate Change Responsibly, Continuing Our Stewardship over the Environment
- Health Care - Health Care Reform: Putting Patients First
- Education - Principles for Elementary and Secondary Education, Higher Education
- Crime - Protecting Our Families
- Values - Preserving Our Values
So I ask, what do we need to change? Why do we need to rebuild in our party? It’s not the message or the principles or the values. Why did so many Republicans move to the left to support Barack Obama? As I said in my last post, when both parties are saying change do you believe that the same party which is in power will bring change? Personally I wanted more of the same George W. Bush that we saw in his first term. I wanted McCain to run on continuing the War on Terror, keep the terrorist away from our country, make the Bush Tax Cuts permanent etc.
Change should have never entered into the GOP vocabulary instead maybe we needed to tweak a few things like immigration, earmark reform and the line item veto. It was the Liberals and the Main Stream Media that first brought the CHANGE idea to the forefront in their partisan slams on our President. They made our president look so bad that even Conservative Republican said we need a change. I don’t believe that the kind of change that the Liberals and Barack Obama are going to give us is and what Republicans are looking for.
So over the next four years we need to:
1. Point out all of Barack Obama’s flaws and failed policies. This needs to happen every day in the media. This is what the Liberals and MSM did to George W. Bush and is why we lost the election.
2. Boost up new Conservatives. Build up our youngest individuals like Sarah Palin. We must gain back Congress and the Presidency. Bring in new ideas and motivation.
3. Start driving home Conservative issues and ideas. Point out why our ideas are better.
4. Embrace the new media, the internet, blogs, etc.
5. We need our version of ACORN but not a crooked of course.
Bottom line is we can’t stand idle for 4 years, do you think the other side will?
